A proud alumna of King University in Bristol, TN, where I earned my BA in Economics, my professional journey spans over 35 years in the dynamic world of retail. As a seasoned store manager, I specialized in overseeing the development of new stores and revamping existing ones. My knack for team-building, merchandising, and operational efficiency propelled me upward within retail organizations, culminating in roles within corporate buying offices as a Merchandise Analyst and Associate Buyer.
In 2013, I embarked on a new chapter, transitioning to the role of "Director of First Impressions" for a real estate firm before serving as the Executive Assistant to the President of a regional property management company. Now retired, I devote my time to nurturing my well-being, indulging in adventurous travels, and expressing my creativity through painting. An avid reader and devoted "Dog Mom" to our beloved dachshunds Tyson and Oscar, my greatest joy lies in cherishing moments with my partner, Eric. Join me as I embrace life's adventures with vitality, curiosity, and an open heart.
I am a proud graduate of both the University of the South (Sewanee), where I earned a Masters degree, and East Tennessee State University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. My professional path began in the retail industry, where I spent a decade as a Corporate Buyer. However, in 2001, I decided to transition into aviation, embarking on a fulfilling career that led me to become a full-time flight instructor and business owner.
Despite finding success in aviation, I felt a deeper calling. This led me to discernment toward ordained ministry in the Episcopal Church. Following seminary training and ordination as a priest, I dedicated nearly twenty years to serving in various ministerial roles, predominantly at the diocesan level. In 2022, I retired from active ministry, having served as the "Canon to the Ordinary" for the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma.
Upon retirement, I returned to my passion for aviation. Currently, I proudly serve as a Captain for a charter company, piloting the Embraer Phenom 300 jet. My credentials include multiple FAA certificates and ratings, including Airline Transport Pilot, Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and Ground Instructor.
Beyond aviation, I also serve as a military chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol, holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and serving as the Deputy Chief of the Chaplain Corps. My wife, Terri, and I call Florida home, where we are not only soaring the friendly skies but also building our travel consulting business, "Chasing Our Dream Travel." Join us as we continue to navigate life's adventures with faith, dedication, and a passion for exploration.
