Lake Thunderbird State Park

Lake Thunderbird State Park is a short one hour drive from OKC and is located 12 miles east of Norman OK off of State Hwy 9. The park features two marinas, nine boat ramps, two covered fishing piers, one open fishing pier, a practice archery range and two swimming beaches. There are more than 22 miles combined of nature, equestrian, hiking and mountain bike trails, including ADA trails.

There are more than 200 RV sites, with 30 of them being full hookup and 53 sites with 50 amp service. There are 11 stations with showers, three without showers and four dump stations. The park also offers 10 picnic shelters for groups and eight family shelters and Paddle boat and canoe rentals are available at Calypso Cove Marina.
